Overview
The Zone Sales Manager is responsible for leading a regional sales team in the attainment of revenue and profitability targets which vary by territory. This person will have primary responsibility for all Motive Power customer activity in the territory. This includes both acquisition and maintenance of dealer participation in the Motive Power programs.
This HOME-BASED position may be located in the following states near a major airport:
Georgia – Atlanta
North Carolina – Charlotte
South Carolina – Charleston
South Carolina – Greenville
Tennessee – Chattanooga
Tennessee – Nashville

- Direct Sales Representatives and Agents to achieve territory sales and profitability targets by strengthening relationships with existing accounts and building relationships with new accounts. Hire, train, guide and motivate each employee to develop “best in class skills” and achieve exceptional performance.
- Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers at major accounts. Earn credibility within the industry and demonstrate solid knowledge of competitive strategies and consumer trends.
- Collaborate with internal resources to develop products, programs and promotions that maximize consumer satisfaction. Plan and direct the execution of strategic sales initiatives for each account and maximize the opportunities of the accounts through effective use of POS, inventory and internal reporting information and pull-through programs.
- Analyze and adjust the alignment of sales territories; develop sales forecasts and manager department budgets; work closely with senior management to establish sales plans and strategic objectives for Motive Power.

Qualifications Education, Experience, Certifications:
- BS Degree in business or a related field preferred
- Five (5) years of sales management experience preferably in the battery industry
Competencies, Skills, Knowledge:
- Effective leadership skills with well-developed sales management skills
- Outstanding track record of leading others, influencing decision and making a positive impact
- Progressive responsible career history and demonstrated success in territory or key account management
- Possess high level of business acumen and the quantitative/analytical capacity to understand complex sales processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential
- Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office and Internet
