Ed Farm | PROPEL is seeking a VP of Propel Programs to build innovative, world-class online and in-person programs that prepare students and alumni from the nation’s 100+ Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) for careers in the innovation economy.

As part of his/her ongoing role, the VP of Propel Programs and his/her team will collaborate closely with executives and professionals from America’s leading corporations.Ed Farm | PROPEL OverviewEd Farm was launched in February 2020 in Birmingham, AL to create a suite of signature programs designed to engage students, educators and adult learners in innovative digital skills experiences that better prepare them for the 21st-century workforce.

In February 2021, Ed Farm, in partnership with Apple and Southern, announced plans to launch the Propel Center, a physical and virtual hub based in Atlanta, GA that will partner with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to provide powerful learning experiences for HBCU students and staff and increase the pool of HBCU graduates entering and leading the innovation economy.

Moving forward, Ed Farm is expanding its programming and footprint across the country to build on the existing programming and work taking place in Birmingham and launch Propel in Atlanta in service of HBCUs across the country. Propel offers both in-person and online experiences for HBCU students and recent graduates.

The gateway experience is a compelling online career seminar that is available to students at all HBCUs and targeted toward Freshman and Sophomores.

The course will be offered for credit by our HBCU partner schools and provides an inside view into innovation careers and what it takes to be successful.

Propel will also offer signature programs and internships in emerging innovation related fields to provide hands-on experiences and prepare HBCU students for the rigors of the job.

Finally, Propel will provide Fellowship opportunities at leading innovation companies to recent HBCU graduates to ensure they transition effectively to the workplace and are positioned for career success and advancement.Job ResponsibilitiesYou are an exceptional education program designer and leader with experience in the higher education sector.

You have developed and executed innovative and award-winning programs, both engaging online programs and immersive, in-person programs.

Reporting to the President and COO, you will be required to build and lead the Propel instructional design and curriculum team as well as several Propel Program implementation teams to ensure that Propel delivers on its mission.

You must be deeply committed to creating pathways for success for students attending HBCUs.
