Looking for a Senior Product Manager to work in the Atlanta, GA area for a Tire Manufacturer.The Senior Product Manager (Product & Pricing) is responsible for managing product life cycle for Tire – Passenger Car and Light Truck (PC/LT) product segments. Develop and maintain product road map. Maintain a portfolio of products including pricing, profitability, end-of-life planning, and monitoring competitive activities. This position will act as a product & pricing subject matter expert for the region, supporting sales, and customers; and be the product advocate with all stakeholders. This individual will be responsible for several key areas of the product and how they relate to the market, competitors, and consumers. As a member of the Marketing Team, we are looking for a person with skills and experience in Product Marketing, Pricing and Market Intelligence.Key Accountability’s:• Develops a robust product strategy for Passenger Car / Light Truck (PC/LT) tires product life cycle that includes explicit understanding of current/future targets for market share, competitive positioning, product function, pricing and standard profits.• Develops and deploys comprehensive pricing strategies which are market driven, based on value provided and competitive landscape. The pricing strategies, will include an analytical approach, must support financial performance targets.• Lead product market intelligence – conducting research of competitor, customers and OEM to determine upcoming product trends. Manages detailed competitive intelligence program to understand the direction and potential threats of competitors and alternative technologies and recommends appropriate actions.• Lead the early-stage Voice of Customer and market trend analysis for Pre-Launch programs to deliver marketing gate approval requirements.• Takes a lead role in building consensus of a product technology road map, which effectively translates customer needs into portfolio products.• Conduct and propose the product line size reviews in order to determine common size availability for the market.• Has shared responsibility of commercializing new product from R & D investments.• Manages (through consensus) prioritization of new products and programs, resolving conflicts between multiple customer programs.• Lead business case development for early stage (Innovation Stage & Pre-Launch) technology & service concepts by analyzing market potential.• Lead the content development for innovation activities and get involved in selection process, conduct market potential analysis, and recommend implementation plan,• In conjunction with sales leadership team, marketing, and marketing communications, develops and deploys marketing plan (including sales promotion material) for each element of product portfolio. This should include customer tech days, product application guides, ride and drives, product literature, consumer surveys, dealer training, other pull through activities, aftermarket promotions, media events, demonstration vehicles, publications, etc.• Contributes to the development of pricing and commercial terms and conditions to include the management of material, capital, RND and general economic recovery in alignment with supply base commercial terms.• Monitors market dynamics, including customer and competitor developments, and recommends strategies to senior management as appropriate.• Assists with capital asset planning/utilization by supporting the global manufacturing strategy.• Oversee direct cost estimating for all PCR, SUV, and LTR products in conjunction with engineering, advanced mfg., and SCM. This will include supporting outsourcing initiatives, developing partners, to achieve financial and operations performance metrics.• Assists in the development of the appropriate sales forecast for the annual business plans (Profit Plan, Strategic Plan), including a “strawman forecast” for future, developing programs.• Manage relevant technical data, marketing materials, such as sales guides, new product launch materials, create product brief for customers, etc., in order to support the field salespeople• Develop and manage pricing structure across all product categories & segments• Responsible for retail market price monitoring and trending• Pricing for current and new products in line with companies pricing philosophy• Maintain regular Pricing analysis to identify potential business opportunities• Supporting sales team with a Profitability analysis for different customersTasks:• Product Management 40%• Pricing 30%• Data analysis and reporting 15%• Coordination with internal stakeholders (R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain) 15%Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance or relevant field. Master’s degree preferred.• Must have experience in the TIRE INDUSTRY, managing a portfolio of products. Must have experience with major tire manufacturer brands (Pirelli, Continental, Goodyear, etc.) or a major tire retailer such as TBD Retail, Discount Tire, Les Schwab, Mavis, Monro, etc.• At least 10+ years of experience in Marketing or related field.• Significant experience in the tire industry in either sales, marketing, or engineering to understand both the product and its markets.• Experience in Product Management / Product Development / Marketing & Sales• Working knowledge of pricing management applications.• Experience in identifying product & pricing opportunities in the tire retail aftermarket.• Strong analytical and decision making skills with proven ability to manage highly complex and diverse assignments.• Expert knowledge in use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and using SAP.• Travel required 20%• Position is located in Atlanta, GA. Requires working onsite.• Some relocation assistance will be provided.
