The Manager of Sales and Operations Planning will lead and manage the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning process for the Corrugated Division. This role is accountable for the aggregate level short- and long-term supply demand balance, bringing together different functions to ensure that the company’s financial, operational objectives are achieved. The position is a vital part in providing critical analytical capabilities and skills with a bias toward action on recommendations from analysis. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, critical thinker, with a proven ability to lead and influence teams and build consensus among stakeholders. The individual should have a strong background and understanding of supply chain management principles such as Production Planning, Demand Management, Warehouse Inventory Management and Logistics.

This position will have 2 direct reports.


The primary responsibilities of the Manager of Sales and Operations Planning position are:

  • Develop S&OP deck in conjunction with multiple stakeholders and publish to executive leadership on a weekly basis
  • Collaborate with S&OP Finance reconciling supply to demand, aligning with the financial plans and understanding financial implications of What-If scenarios
  • Collaborate with Mill Senior Leadership on 5-year maintenance outage planning to ensure synchronization of capacity and demand
  • Facilitate daily supply chain operational meeting (SCRUM), driving adherence to the monthly S&OP financial targets
  • Responsible for the development and management of S&OP key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operations and financial objectives
  • Drive automation of S&OP key performance indicators (KPIs) utilizing Business Intelligence (BI) tools
  • Manage S&OP activities that provide analysis which drive business decisions relative to Service, On-Time Delivery, On-Time Shipments
  • Lead and manage Supply Chain strategy deployments (Hoshin) process including the tracking of the business results
  • Leverage industry best practices and continuous improvements to continually enhance S&OP processes
  • Develop, mentor and coach talent as part of an overall succession planning effort


  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in one of the following: Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management
  • 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, and/or Analytics preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma project experience and/or Green Belt / Black Belt
  • Leading-edge analytical capabilities with a comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and some working knowledge of Advanced Planning Scheduling (APS) systems
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to see the big picture and understand the key relationships between Supply Chain and other business functions
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and rapidly changing priorities
  • Experience facilitating meetings and leading collaborative discussions with all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of SQL a plus
  • APICS certification is a plus
  • Up to 10% travel
  • Occasional weekend work required (financial reporting, system cutovers, testing etc.)
