Job Description:

As a consultant within Crowe’s Operations group, you’ll help lead our clients through the analysis, planning and execution of complex Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), synergy capture and implementation of operational excellence and performance improvement practices. We support the full range of client M&A activities–from the due diligence process through the planning and execution of post-close strategies, including EBITDA capture through synergies and performance improvement.

Essential skills & responsibilities:

Great candidates for this unique position will have the desire and ability to:

  • Engage with private equity firms and corporate leaders to analyze and execute on M&A deals

  • Support Operations Due Diligence engagements to assess target company operations and identify critical value creation levers

  • Design and lead the Integration Management Office (IMO) for large and distributed (geographically and functionally) project teams across a variety of complex initiatives

  • Work in a client facing role, engage with client teams to uncover synergy and functional area solutions; execute on deal strategy and performance improvement

  • Utilize a holistic approach to identify business improvement opportunities, develop solutions, manage initiatives, and recognize the resources and various disciplines needed to execute the process.

  • Communicate professionally, including creation of executive-level deliverables to support client decision makers

  • Deliver results in a highly visible role on-site at our clients, across the US and possibly internationally

  • Be highly adaptable, assertive, and open to new challenges in a fast-paced environment. This person will have significant independence to define and deliver the work required to make our clients successful. Advanced skills in analysis and written and verbal communication are critical, as this role will require significant executive-level interaction.

Qualifications:

  • 3-7 years of total relevant experience in manufacturing operations management, including areas such as: supply chain planning, strategic sourcing, manufacturing (including lean / continuous improvement), distribution, or operations strategy

  • Ability to complete making detailed assessments of manufacturing and distribution operations and implementing improvements, specifically for productivity increase and operating costs reduction

  • Superior analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel is required

  • Outstanding communication skills as evidenced by ability to articulate complex technical concepts and business impacts to diverse audiences, including executives

  • Extensive travel required

  • The ideal candidate will be based in or willing to relocate to Chicago, New York, or Atlanta; other locations with a major airport will be considered
