eDiscovery Project Manager (West Coast)

Compliance is a leading eDiscovery service provider that offers client value-added customized solutions through an innovative suite of legal discovery solutions powered by a sage eDiscovery consulting team that is responsible for various aspects of technology assisted review including, automated workflows, searching and predictive coding as well as other product support, troubleshooting and client-training.

Compliance is currently seeking an individual to provide electronic discovery project management support.

This is a full-time position.

The eDiscovery Project Manager provides client and company support under the direct supervision of the Manager of eDiscovery.

The primary focus of this role is to provide eDiscovery expertise using eDiscovery consultative techniques utilizing industry specific processing applications and tools.

DESCRIPTION TITLE: eDiscovery Project Manager DEPT: eDiscovery Technology Services Location: West Coast (Remote) POSITION OVERVIEW Under the direct supervision of the Manager of eDiscovery Services, the eDiscovery Project Manager plans, executes, and finalizes all technology and electronically stored information (ESI) related activities associated with a client and matter specific projects.

As the eDiscovery Project Manager, this role is the primary client point of contact for all aspects of project management as well as eDiscovery consulting.Job Requirements: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS In this capacity, the eDiscovery Project Manager will: Â
· Manage document review or eDiscovery projects delivering project plans, workflows, assignments, schedules, budgets, and process improvement; Acquire resources and delegate tasks; Â
· Perform work in an efficient and cost-effective manner so as to permit the Company to reasonably collect fees for such work; Meet expectations of billable hours; Â
· Consult with clients or legal teams in the application of processes, technologies and the use of ESI to successful outcomes; Â
· Collaborate and assist in the development of team members to expand their knowledge of the eDiscovery process and reinforce best practices workflows; Â
· Proactively promote management and client initiatives (such as Compliance’s eDiscovery Managed Services offering); Â
· Define and meet all client requirements to identify, preserve, collect, process, host review and produce electronically stored information; Â
· Ensure quality control measures and standard procedures are consistently applied to projects; Oversee status reports and lead improvements; Â
· Provide advanced technical support and training in collaboration with legal teams, client support groups, IT staff and third-party vendors; Create training programs and materials; Â
· Work beyond scheduled hours as required; Â
· Provide on-going technical support, facilitate user training programs and create necessary materials; Â
· Knowledge of electronic discovery applications, such as Lexis LAW PreDiscovery, Nuix Workstation, NuixDiscover and Relativity Processing, etc.; Â
· Collaborate with outside contractors and third-party vendors (such as forensic examiners); Â
· Maintain strong working relationships by supporting management with all technology initiatives and objectives; Â
· Participate in the assessment of products or program alternatives to make recommendations to management; and Â
· Handle additional special projects as assigned.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION In addition, the eDiscovery Project Manager will be expected to have: Â
· Expert-level proficiency in application service providers (ASPs), such as Relativity; NuixDiscover, etc.

· Expert knowledge of the life cycle of litigation matters; Â
· Advanced knowledge of Electronic Discovery and e-Discovery principles.

Â
· Advanced knowledge of the concepts, principles, management and processing of electronically stored information (ESI) as they relate to legal matters, including the use of various ESI collection, management, review and processing tools and applications; Â
· Expert knowledge of the life cycle of litigation matters; of early case analysis and data assessment; of forensic collection; filtering concepts such as pivots and data clustering; electronic discovery principles and best practices; government agency electronic discovery requirements and protocols; electronic discovery developments such as Sedona Conference Principles; project management best practices; Â

· Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project; Advanced proficiency in of Windows Operating Systems (desktop and network); network storage and archival technologies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Â
· Bachelor’s degree with major in computer science, electrical engineering or related field (required); Advanced degree (preferred); Juris Doctor (preferred); Â
· Certification in electronic discovery or forensic software and processes (i.e., Relativity Certified Administrator, Relativity Review Specialist, Relativity Processing Specialist, Relativity Analytics Specialist; Â
· Project management professional certification (PMP) (preferred); Â
· At least 7 years of litigation support experience; electronic discovery experience; project management experience; SDL2017
