The Product Owner, Senior Manager, Mac will take end-to-end ownership of squad goals, set the product roadmap(s), and drive value realization by translating the voice of the customer into capabilities or product features, servicing and support.

The Mac squad manages the hardware, OS, and core system applications for all Macs at BCG, which is rapidly increasing penetration of Mac devices across the organization.

Among your responsibilities, you will:Deliver business results and customer valueEnsure that the team is delivering a continuously improving customer experience, bringing innovative new approaches to product delivery and creating customer value Track product performance to inform future workDeliver on specific and measurable KPIs to be defined for your SquadManage relevant product budget process and support the Tribe Lead in engaging with the funding processPartner with respective teams to advise on branding, communications and change management activities for the portfolioWork with legal and risk management to proactively address issues associated with confidentiality and data privacyServe as the voice of the customer or end-userTranslate the voice and needs of customers into strong, well-developed, refined user storiesEngage in continuous discovery (e.G., via surveys & interviews) to understand customer needsLeverage empirical and qualitative data to assess feature performance and inform prioritizationDetermine tradeoffs involving customer value, cost, and speed to executionRepresent customer needs to ensure they are understood and integrated into the Squad’s workServe as the primary point of contact for stakeholders for direction and visioningEffectively manage stakeholders’ and users’ expectations while building credibility through a strong business sense and balancing of prioritiesOversee what is delivered by the Squad and whenPrioritize work through a well-organized backlog of user stories and clearly communicate what needs to be done and by when Define and clearly communicate acceptance criteria for outcomes based on business & customer needsSupport and enable the Squad to get its work doneRegularly engage with the Squad to offer feedback on work-in-progress and clarify requirementsWork with the squad to identify MVP solutions that maximize delivery efficiencySupport and drive product excellence through iterative product refinement and innovationEngage with Chapter Leads regarding resourcing and functional expertise requiredProvide feedback as part of performance management of Squad members and other members of the TribeSet an overall vision to direct and inform the Squad’s workWork closely with the Tribe Lead to understand and drive alignment on the Tribe’s business strategy, goals, and objectivesTranslate Tribe objectives into a clear vision (e.G., via KPIs, initiatives, epics) for your Squad to inform the creation and prioritization of the Squad’s backlog of workShare information about the Squad’s output and priorities with other Product Owners to ensure alignment across the organizationEnable the organization’s new way of workingModel behaviors supporting the organization’s transformation to a new way of workingLead the squad and tribe along the agile maturity journey through insight, feedback, and experimentation in team processes and dynamicsActively create and maintain a Squad culture based on the organization and Agile behaviorsProvide informal and formal feedback within context of larger performance management system YOU’RE GOOD AT Being customer-focused and dedicated to understanding and learning about customer needs and requirementsOperating with a transparency mindset, communicating clearly and openly Being comfortable leading, directing, and empowering team members without formal management authorityCollaborating cross-functionally with business functions, as well as technology teams to deliver tribe/squad outcomesWorking with ambiguous requirements and across multi-disciplinary teams Influencing stakeholders up to the senior levels of the organizationBringing a business-based and data-driven approach to decision making, both in day-to-day management and in making strategic trade-offsLooking for opportunities to innovate and get things done better and faster YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS) Undergraduate degree required, advanced degree a plusTotal 7+ years’ relevant experience as a Product Owner, including globally distributed teams and digital products.

Experience as Scrum Master or Agile Coach/Mentor a plusAgile Certifications, preferably Scrum.Org (Professional Scrum Product Owner) or Scrum Alliance (Certified Product Owner) preferredStrong understanding of agile principles and ways of workingProven experience leading agile-led product teams in a complex, global, matrixed organizationPassionate about Macs and their capability to drive productivity and a great user experience to employees across the companyVendor relationship management experience a plusExperience collaborating with product owners, business analysts, designers, developers, QA, and other non-agile aligned stakeholdersStrong understanding of technology enabled business, digital and organizational transformations, delivering enterprise IT and Digital projectsDivergent thinker who can converge ideas into tangible productsEntrepreneurial drive and ability to achieve goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment Exceptional oral/written communications, presentation development & stakeholder management skillsExperience with data science, machine learning or complex data analytics supporting product management a plusExperience in consulting industry is a plus YOU’LL WORK WITH Every member of your squad, for which you will be its servant leaderInternal customers and stakeholders, translating their voice and needs into user stories and engaging users as neededTribe Leaders, who will set the vision, roadmap, budget, and priorities & OKRs for the tribes andsubsequently, for the squadsScrum Masters, which will act as your right hand to remove impediments and will assist you in dealing with the different artifacts and ceremoniesOther Product Owners within BCG, to share best practices and ensure alignment between squads and a cultureAgile Coaches, with whom you will share passion about Agile ways of working and with whom you will shape and promote business agility (within your teams and in the whole company) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Effective November 1, 2021, all new US hires must be fully vaccinated* or subject to a religious or medical exemption.
