Benefits Manager

Airport Retail Management

This is a Full-time position in Atlanta, GA posted November 26, 2021.

Position Title: Benefits Manager
Reports To: Vice President of Human Resources
Job Objective:
This position manages and administers ARM payroll and company benefits for all Crews and affiliates.

This position supports the implementation, administration, and communication of payroll and benefit programs, and policies; prepares data for market surveys and industry benchmarking; ensures conformance to company policies in support the company’s business objectives.

This position administers ARM payroll and educates employees regarding benefit related policies and practices; ensures legal compliance; maintains a significant amount of records and documentation.

Will be part of the Human Resources and Finance team to contribute to overall delivery of their services to the company.

Essential Duties:

Payroll (30%)
Oversees all payroll functions of bi-weekly payroll for ARM.

This includes full data reviews, payroll submission, wage and hour data from time reporting system, the input of changes and additions to salary, position, deductions, garnishment(s) and WOTC data to the Paycom payroll system.
Complete and process verification of employment and payroll data requests by various agencies and institutions.
Coordinates with Paycom payroll vendor and ensure effective interfaces between payroll systems and benefit administration.
Maintain payroll and pay-related records in compliance with all requirements.
Benefits Administration (50%)
Effectively communicates benefit plan programs, plan provisions, and proper procedures to access programs to employees through the employee self-service module.
Provides benefits counseling and response to new hires, active, terminating employees.
Ensures the appropriate collection and processing of enrollment forms, requests for distribution.
Research and resolve benefit billing issues or problems.

Reviews and reconciles bills related to benefit programs.
Manages relationships with third party administrators and vendors to ensure that benefits programs are administered as the plan sponsor intends.

Assist the Vice President with the coordination of contract renewals and selection of insurance carriers and vendors.
Plans and coordinates benefit enrollment processes, including annual enrollment.
Analyzes company benefit programs, policies and practices.

Assist with the recommendations and collaborates with the company’s Human Resources team in the design, implementation, and administration of various benefit plans and systems.

Remains current on industry trends to properly document, evaluate, and analyze benefit programs.
Ensures preparation of 5500 filings, discrimination testing and data compliance for Health Insurance and 401k annual audit.
Coordinates the administration of the worker’s compensation program.

Responsibilities include claims monitoring, administration, report generation and communication with employees, managers, insurance carriers, and lawyers.
HRIS Support Benefits ( Paycom) (20%)
Supports the development of custom reports, systematizing processes and suggesting alternative approaches to better meet the business needs.
Support the data integrity by analyzing data and running data and process benefit audits.
Assists in testing new systems as well as system changes/updates into Paycom.

Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management or closely related field
Minimum 4years’ experience with Payroll administration, HRIS systems, Accounting and Benefits Administration including State, Federal and Government filing requirements.
