Sales Development Representative – Inside Sales

Reliant Technology is hiring business development representatives! If you are considering getting into technology sales or expanding your skills to excel in sales, a business development role is a great opportunity! In this job you will learn about technology sales and enterprise technology, and you will develop the skills to speak, consult and sell to IT professionals at larger IT organizations.

A day in the life of a sales development rep

  • Identify and prospect new potential clients.

  • Research companies to determine fit.

  • Initiate contact with prospects through phone calls, email, and LinkedIn.

  • Make around 40-80 cold calls per day.

  • Schedule high-quality meetings and product demonstrations.

  • Sit in on meetings youve scheduled with an Account Executive.

  • Follow-up with potential customers who were interested but did not buy.

  • Develop new sales strategies based on personal successes and failures.

  • This Role Reports to Director of Sales.

    Skills and Experience Desired for a Business Development Rep

  • Highly curious with the ability to ask great questions and listen

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong work ethic and self-drive.

  • Highly organized with good time management skills.

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude in the face of rejection or criticism.

  • Ability to rapidly learn and apply coaching.

  • Highly skilled in negotiation and persuasion.

  • Patient and able to practice good phone etiquette.

  • Strong computer literacy skills, including Customer Relationship Management software.

  • Great number sense and mathematical ability.

Youll share our message, build professional relationships, and generate new business for the company, which is crucial for our success as a team. With your help, well grow, serve and add value to more customers.

    Great Business Development Representatives will impact other areas of the company beyond sales including marketing, support, and operations. The best BDRs can be promoted to Account Executives and management positions for an even greater impact on the business.
