Sales Development Representative


This is a Full-time position in Atlanta, GA posted April 1, 2021.

The Sales Development Representative role (SDR) works closely with our Regional Sales Executives, to identify suitable prospects for the SchoolStatus platform and help qualify them by establishing that they possess budget, authority, need and timing. This role is critical in growing sales pipeline whilst contributing greatly to the continued achievement of our organizational goals.As the first point of contact, you will lay the foundation upon which strong relationships can be built. You are looking to surround yourself with the smartest group of people you have ever worked with because you know they will help you step up your game…and you, theirs.You get passionate about the solution you sell, and believe together we have the means to change education forever and positively impact the educational journey of every student.ABOUT THIS POSITIONResponsibilities:· Target, identify, and qualify new sales opportunities.· As the first point of contact, develop valuable relationships and engagement with target stakeholders.· Possess a keen understanding of buying personas and motivations. Adept and adjusting communication style to match the needs of specific personas.· Support Regional Sales Executives (RSEs) on outbound strategies and lead generation efforts.· Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage with RSEs on next steps.· Maintain a current awareness of industry news and specific regional market intelligence.· Effectively overcome technical and business objections with prospects.· Attend industry events and consortiums as necessary to represent SchoolStatus.Requirements:· Successful track record of calling into K12 or public sector markets – 2 years minimum (must currently hold an SDR role). Experience in the EdTech sector is a plus.· Working knowledge of CRM (preferably Salesforce). Experience of marketing outreach tools desirable.· Strong work ethic with an eagerness to learn and grow.· Comfortable to work autonomously but also as a contributing & visible member of the team.· Resilience – you’ll encounter more no’s than yes.· Curiosity and comfortable in asking questions to develop your skill set.· Strong desire to evolve and move up within the sales organization.· Able to pass a criminal background check.Compensation:Your compensation package will be highly competitive and dependent upon your proven track record.
