The Red Hat Southeast Sales team is looking for an Ecosystem Leader for the southeast region to join the North America (NA) sales team in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will be a key member of the Southeast Sales leadership team reporting directly to the Regional Sales Leader and be responsible for leading joint sales engagement and incremental revenue with and through the Red Hat Partner Ecosystem. You’ll work in collaboration with the Regional Sales Leader and NA Ecosystem Leader to define the region’s ecosystem sales strategy and lead a team of Partner Sales Executives in the region to support enterprise and commercial Sales Pods. You will also work closely with NA Ecosystem Leadership to define required capabilities and solutions relevant to the needs of regional customers, increasing pipeline growth and velocity for all partners, including co-sell motions.  

To succeed in this role, you need to be an experienced leader who is passionate, collaborative, influential, and works well in a highly matrixed organization. You must have excellent communication, organizational, sales, marketing, and interpersonal skills. You should have a deep understanding of how to best work with the ecosystem to solve joint customers’ business problems, increase joint pipeline development, and expand Red Hat product adoption. You’ll need a record in messaging and positioning, business development, and broad fulfillment capabilities.

  • Coordinate comprehensive joint sales engagement with regional sales pods across the Red Hat ecosystem of partners, including independent software vendors (ISVs), hyperscalers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and regional and global integrators
  • Increase incremental revenue growth with and throughout Red Hat’s partner ecosystem within your associated region
  • Set the top-level strategies for the ecosystem with regional sales leadership teams by identifying and integrating partners into regional growth initiatives
  • Lead a team of Partner Sales Executives within the associated region
  • Manage a matrixed environment of Red Hat’s Pod Sales Leaders, NA Ecosystem Leadership, and Marketing to support sales and account expansion efforts with key partners in the field

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a fast-paced team while demonstrating flexibility and initiative
  • 8+ years of sales management experience with a demonstrated record of success, preferably in the software or IT industry
  • Understanding of ISVs, system integrators, and two-tier value-added channel sales fundamentals, including business models, motivations, and how to relate requirements to internal stakeholders
  • Experience developing and delivering partner programs and managing teams responsible for creating and fulfilling joint business plans with partners
  • Solid understanding of complete sales cycle management from prospect to close, including the role partners play throughout that sales cycle
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, marketing, or other technical disciplines
  • Knowledge and experience selling open source software platforms, e.g., operating systems, application development or middleware, automation, and Kubernetes
  • Passion for open source technology, and an understanding of the value of enterprise open source
  • Solid understanding of the cloud management, server, virtualization, and general cloud markets
