Georgia-Pacific’s Mailers business is growing again!

A part of the Packaging and Cellulose business, the Mailers business is expanding its product lines, working with key customers to create and launch one or more new products to complement our already thriving recyclable padded mailer business.

We are seeking an S&OP Leader who will be a vital member of the GP Mailers Sales and Operations Planning Team (S&OP).

The ideal candidate will be proactive, a self-starter and someone who is committed to helping us sustainably grow the Mailers business.

The individual in this role will coordinate and oversee the S&OP process to understand and optimize our supply/demand/inventory position.

They must have the ability to ensure all resources across the supply chain are aligned to execute the sales and operations plans, while developing, maintaining and achieving KPI targets.

This role will essentially determine and maintain optimal finished goods and raw material inventory levels required to profitably meet customers’ needs in this new and rapidly growing business.

This is a great position for a Principled Entrepreneur who wants to be part of a product start-up in an established business.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Oversee and manage end-to-end supply chain for the Mailers business by leveraging the S&OP process and coordinating with the supply chain organization
  • Lead centralized scheduling for all three plants (directly or indirectly)
  • Work with site material managers and logistics managers to plan and execute production & shipment to warehouses/customers for existing and new products
  • Work with entire supply chain (customer service, production, shipping, warehouse, GP Supply Chain capability, etc.) to ensure orders are delivered on time and in full (OTIF)
  • Develop and maintain key performance metrics
  • Recommend and drive optimization opportunities and support business development initiatives and NPIs
  • Working with customer service, serve as key point of contact with customers on planning (existing and new customers; FC’s and troubleshooting issues)

The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or another business-related field
  • 3+ years of supply planning or demand planning
  • 5+ years of business experience in supply chain
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables, v-lookups)
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
