Brief Team and Position Summary



DNV GL – Business Assurance is seeking an experienced Social Auditor with expertise in supply chain sustainability and ethical trading standards to join the Supply Chain and Assurance Service Team (North America). This position may be based in any home (remote) office in the continental United States, with travel up to 75% of the time.



Tasks May Include:

  • Contribute to thought leadership in your focus areas and subject matter expertise.
  • Consistently submit timely complex reports with quality
  • Handling challenging situations under pressure
  • Working effectively and efficiently with top brand customers who may participate in audits
  • Deliver audits alone or as part of a multi-disciplinary team assessing social compliance standards, including but not limited to:
    • SMETA
    • Corporate Codes of Conduct
    • Others (environmental / H&S)



Requirements

· 3-5 years’ experience delivering social auditing services

· Must be a registered auditor in APSCA or be qualified to become a registered auditor in APSCA (i.e. have at least 100+ mandays of social auditing experience) within first 90 days.

· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

· Excellent customer service skills

· Must be willing and able to travel up to 75% of the time and manage own travel and schedules.

· Must be able to walk and stand for up to 4 hours at a time and maneuver throughout multiple levels of client sites either by stairs or elevator

· Must possess a valid driver’s license and can rent and drive a car and travel on public conveyances when required.

· Subject matter expert level understanding in

  • Pillars within the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights
  • Definition of Forced Labour as per ILO Conventions
  • Elements of human trafficking according to the United Nations
  • Core categories of the fundamental principles and rights at the workplace

Preferred qualifications

· Master’s Degree in a related field

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish

· Candidate must be a certified auditor (CSCA) by APSCA or be qualified to become a CSCA by APSCA (i.e. successfully passed at least Exam 1 of three exams).
