About the Job

As the Senior Strategic Initiatives & Planning Lead, Cox2M , you will lead growth strategy development and strategic planning across the Cox2M business.

You will assess market trends, study competitive landscapes, understand customer needs, and lead the quantitative and qualitative analyses that enable you to deliver high-impact recommendations to all levels of leadership.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

As a startup, Cox2M has ambitious growth objectives and a rapidly changing set of questions to answer as we strive for those goals.

As a result, the [title] will be asked to solve a wide-ranging set of questions that will likely call on the full range of strategy and analysis skill sets.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Assess the landscape of potential opportunities for Cox2M and develop a rigorous approach to recommending the top priorities.

    Lead primary and secondary research into trend analysis, customer needs discovery, competitive landscaping, opportunity sizing, strategic fit assessment, capability evaluation, and other workstreams as needed to identify “where to play and how to win”

  • Make recommendations for how to pursue prioritized opportunity areas, including a “build / buy / partner” decision.

    Recommend initial strategies that cover product, go-to-market, operations, and other aspects of the operating model required for success.

    Identify and create the foundation for key partnerships (channel partners, third party logistics providers, etc.)

  • Develop business cases, including financial models.

    Quantify and articulate the value created for each stakeholder in complex, multi-stakeholder commercial agreements (including public-private partnerships)

  • Help the vertical leads define and drive growth opportunities for existing offerings, including optimizations (e.g., pricing model evolution), organic growth strategy, and inorganic growth ambitions.

    Lead due diligence efforts and other partner evaluation as needed

  • Shape strategic planning efforts.

    Tell the story of what each vertical and the business as a whole are aiming to accomplish, and ensure the team is resourced and organized optimally to achieve those goals

  • Develop and deliver presentations for a C-Suite audience.

    Know and communicate the right messages to create buy-in for strategic initiatives at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications:

Minimum

  • Where permitted by applicable law, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to be considered for this U.S.

  • 3+ years of related experience; corporate strategy, consulting, private equity, M&A

  • Experience in start-up businesses and/or end-to-end new product development experience

  • Strong strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong collaboration skills.

    Experience leading and facilitating strategy discussions across a range of company levels / stakeholders

  • Demonstrable knowledge of Financial Modeling and PowerPoint presentation development

  • BS/BA degree, with preference for a quantitative discipline (Engineering, Finance, Economics, etc.)

Preferred

  • Experience in telecommunications or “High Tech” environment

  • IoT knowledge and experience

  • Smart City knowledge and experience
