Referral Specialist

Daily Responsibilities for Referral Specialist:

• Initiate authorization requests for outpatient and inpatient services in accordance with the prior authorization list. Route to appropriate staff when needed.
• Verify eligibility and benefits
• Answer phone queues and process faxes within established standards
• Data entry of authorizations into the system

Requirements for Referral Specialist:

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of healthcare call center experience
• Experience handling referrals/authorizations

Hours for the Referral Specialist:

Monday to Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM
