Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • The Assistant Director, Educational Services at the Emory Autism Center (EAC) will oversee educational aspects of the Early Emory Child Development and Enrichment center.
  • Working with the Center director, responsibilities include teacher hiring, training, and management, and curriculum development and implementation for educational activities and support to promote language, social, and adaptive behavior development.
  • Supervises classroom environmental set-up and building-related matters.
  • Works with families of children at the school related to feedback about their children, input from parents and families regarding the school.
  • Working with the Division administrator and finance staff, ensures timely billing and tuition collection.
  • Ensures compliance with state, university, and practice policies and procedures and national accreditation and state licensing of the school.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or related field and three years’ experience working in early childhood education.
  • Must be at least 18 years old, have reliable transportation and pass a background check.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities preferred.

NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option.
