IT Compliance Intern, Part-Time

Our operations span North America with 24,100 employees at close to 1,300 locations in 44 US States and 6 Canadian provinces.nn nn nn nn Position Overview nn nn nn nnThe IT Compliance Intern will support compliance by assisting with the development and maintenance of the company compliance and risk management programs.

The intern will also assist with testing the effectiveness of the company policies, procedures and overall compliance program.nn nn nn nn Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) nn nn nn nnTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.nn nn nn nnAssisting CRH AMAT IT Compliance team in the following processes:nn Support and enhance the IT department’s compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) Test the operating effectiveness of key controls by measuring samples against control attributes Work with IT and business personnel to understand processes and deviations and implement appropriate remediation and risk mitigation Maintain clear and concise documentation in a highly organized manner with conclusions that are supported by the work performed Inform management of audit results Facilitate Control Evidence gathering throughout the year to ensure timely control execution by the control owners; Create/Update Policies and Procedures to meet current Compliance standards; or mature our exisitng processes; Coordinate user access reviews with business financial management semi-annually Compliance Project support as needed throughout the year to meet goals; and support SOX compliance requirements.

Coordination of control requests from internal and external auditors Ad hoc reports and projects as needed nn nn nn Qualifications nn nn nn nn Education/Experience nn nn nn Current Junior or Senior in undergraduate degree program in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Audit or Software Development Proficient competency Microsoft Office Suite
– heaviest focus on Excel and Powerpoint skills.

Familiarity with IT concepts, finance processes, and audit procedures is beneficial, but not required Immediate and ongoing availability 20 hours/week minimum Grade Point Average: 3.0 or above Prior internship experience, a plus nn nn nn Work Requirements nn nn nn Must be 18 years in age or older.

Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.
