HR Business Partner

Job Summary:

The HRBP will provide HR consultation and guidance in the areas of talent acquisition, employee engagement, total rewards and L&D to assigned customer group in the Southeast. The HR Business Partner is a hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support and service to several senior leaders and their respective organizations. They will build strong relationships with all functional leaders, including the HR strategy leaders, and serve as a trusted advisor for employees, navigating the employee life cycle including hiring, promotions, performance management and terminations.



  • Collaborate with HR Functional leadership to deliver initiatives related to talent acquisition, performance management, organizational design, employee relations, compensation & benefits and workforce planning
  • Sensitively and effectively drive change within client groups as appropriate
  • Leverage the Workday HCM platform to bring actionable people insights to the attention of regional leaders, identify patterns and help facilitate any actions needed that stem from those analyses

Employee Engagement:

  • Develop and sustain an engaging, employee centric culture which aligns with our Guiding Principles and fuels business results, leveraging employee feedback survey results and other insights as a guide
  • Responsible for u201chigh touchu201d people experiences, such as performance management, retention practices, employee relations issues
  • Work with business leaders to identify opportunities to mitigate risk and drive consistency across business lines.
  • Lead challenging conversations and interactions and provide expert consultation and leadership on employee relations and HR compliance matters.
  • Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices are implemented successfully at all levels.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations and drive toward successful outcomes that align with culture and values
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.


  • Partner with leaders to identify development needs and implement solutions to continue to build individual and organizational capability
  • Partner with L&D team and mangers to ensure that organization is setting goals, engaging in regular two-way communication and performance management, leveraging Workday HCM platform
  • Participate in Talent Calibration discussions with Senior Leaders and ensure Individual Development Plans are in place for all employees
  • Identify training needs for teams and individual coaching needs.
  • Coach, guide, and mentor managers and senior leaders in their leadership functions and responsibilities
  • Ensure employees completion of required trainingTalent Acquisition
  • Invest in candidate and organizational relationships to ensure we are bringing the right talent to the right role at the right time, exceeding our teams’ expectations, and hiring for the long term.
  • Ensure prospective employees embody our company culture of doing what is right and care for our residents and each other
  • Develop relationships with local talent suppliers to ensure reasonable time to fill
  • Facilitate hiring process by ensuring interviews are scheduled quickly and candidates receive timely updates

Total Rewards:

  • Collaborate with managers on promotions and career planning for employees on their teams
  • Assist managers to understand the implications of the pay increase, promotion, and bonus recommendations for both the employee as well as others on the team.
  • Assist with the delivery of benefit open enrollment sessions annually explaining new plans and options


  • The role requires high levels of organization, with strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize a large workload according to ever changing business needs
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with people at all levels both internally and externally
  • Strong understanding of business operations
  • Demonstrated ability to implement cross functional programs and drive performance
  • Knowledge of Workday Human Capital Management Platform a significant plus
  • Be flexible and able to meet tight deadlines and work in multidisciplinary teams
  • Relationship management and customer service skills
  • Organizational skills with a keen attention to detail


  • BA/BS is Human Resources or related field
  • 5 years’ experience within a multi-unit or multi-site Human Resources Business Partner support role
  • Ability to travel 25%
