Primary Location 6305 Peachtree Dunwoody Rd, Atlanta, GA, USA Division Cox Communications Inc Job Level Individual Contributor Travel Yes, 5 of the Time Schedule Full-time Shift Day Job Requisition Number 211899 Cox Communications is searching for a Data Analyst, Engineering Data Analytics to lead the effort to research and recommend data sources of truth for the Engineering Data Analytics team, ensuring accuracy, consistency and transparency in data leveraged for reporting and analytics. The Data Analyst will identify and document data sources of truth from Engineering applications and tools, deliver comprehensive data dictionaries, champion best practices for data governance, and work closely with the team’s Data Architect to document data flows and models for improved transparency. This role will contribute to specific department efforts while collaborating with all other efforts to build a uniform approach to implementing BI solutions, enhance data quality, master data and master list management while meeting business needs. Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions Leads the effort to identify, research and recommend data sources of truth to be leveraged by the Engineering Data and Analytics team Documents and visualizes data models, data flows and ETL processes in collaboration with the Data Architect Develops and maintains robust data dictionaries and champions data governance efforts Works closely with boundary partners to proactively identify possible risks to data quality or changes to critical data flows Supports analytic efforts through data analysis and dashboard development Maintains a backlog of stakeholder requirements for data sets and views in collaboration with the Data Architect and Senior Analyst Contributes to the development of the data, analytics and reporting roadmap and provides support to ensure roadmap goals are met Collaborates with boundary partners and stakeholders as necessary and ensures transparency and stakeholder buy in for all deliverables Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of experience in a data analytics, data management, data governance role or similar area 5+ years of experience in working with large and diverse data sets. Experience should cover requirements gathering from key stakeholders, data mining, data validation, data visualization and documentation of data systems Experience with SQL, Excel and Tableau Strong communication skills. The ability to comprehend and communicate business logic, data findings and resulting implications to both technical and non-technical business partners. Ability to work in a diverse team Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, Information Systems, Finance or closely related field Experience with tools such as Informatica and data governance platforms, such as Collibra Who We Are About Cox Communications Cox Communications is committed to creating meaningful moments of human connection through broadband applications and services.
