Alton Lane is actively hiring a Custom Specialist.

Role & Responsibilities

Life at Alton Lane is constantly evolving. No two days are ever the same. The ability to multi-task and prioritize is critical. A Custom Specialist proactively manages the customer experience and leads regional business development initiatives in addition to a variety of other ad hoc tasks.  


The expectations of a Custom Specialist are:

  • Become an expert consultant of luxury custom menswear to include the assessment of fit, fabrication, and garment construction
  • Drive results by consistently striving to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Provide the best customer experience tailored to the needs of our clients
  • Build, manage and grow your book of business through various external prospecting initiatives and personal network
  • Continuously drive and enhance relationships with current and new customers through genuine connection and thoughtful engagement 
  • Be a strong communicator internally and externally with a positive, productive point of view
  • Effectively collaborate and work with a fantastic team


You are an individual contributor who is always looking for opportunities to grow and develop in your professional career, meet new people, drive outside sales, and embraces frequent changes and challenges.

You also have:

  • 2 to 5+ years with the retail, service industry, and/or competitive sales experience
  • Working knowledge of what makes the Atlanta area tick
  • Hunger to generate new business through sales and long-term customer engagement
  • Willingness to network and fearlessly get into a conversation 
  • An eye for every. single. detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to confidently handle yourself internally with peers and externally with clients
  • Independent and entrepreneurial with the ability to self-manage
  • Nimble with technology
  • A natural interest in menswear and consumer behavior
  • Strong sense of self-awareness, humility and personal responsibility in all that you do
  • Flexibility to change and the will to adapt to new things
  • A curiosity that drives you to learn and develop yourself professionally and personally
