LeaseQuery is seeking a Chief Technology Officer to join our growing team. As the CTO, you will lead our Engineering teams. Reporting to the COO, this position will be a driving force for the strategy, development, and delivery of current and new software products through leading a team of managers, architects, developers, and testers. You must be a proven leader with a passion for building high-quality software solutions. We are seeking someone who can implement the best practices and processes necessary for us to continue to build the most efficient and high performing systems that enable us to provide industry-leading solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with executive leadership to further develop the technical and product strategy for the security and scalability of our solutions
  • Work to scale the platform architecture to handle 3-5x the number of users and customers
  • Build and refine current KPI’s to improve measurement and forecasting of the teams’ performance
  • Create a hiring plan and organizational chart that will support the vision for the Engineering and Software Development Team
  • Refine current training and people development processes to increase the effectiveness of our team members
  • Work with Quality Assurance Manager to optimize current quality control processes
  • Constantly evaluate processes within the Implementation, Engineering, and Customer Success departments to find opportunities for automation to reduce manual effort
  • Enable and motivate your team by removing obstacles, providing resources and mentorship
  • Review and improve current implementation of Agile software development strategy

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of software development and architecture experience
  • 3+ years as a SVP/VP of Engineering for a SaaS company
  • Experience managing teams of at least 30+ associates
  • Worked at a VP level or higher for a fast growth company going from $25M to $150M in revenue in under a 5-year period
  • Managed a development team that uses Agile methodologies
  • History of overseeing environments with heavy data governance, data protection, security, encryption, backup and DR requirements
  • Experience managing on and offshore teams
  • Can provide examples of business cases and forecast reports used to determine investments in the Engineering department
  • Proven track record of hiring and recruiting technical talent.
  • Broad knowledge of programming languages, software architecture, design and database systems Previous experience as a Developer (history of promotion from within)
  • Hands on manager (technology and architecture discussions)
  • Comfortable leading and being a part of a fast growing and changing organization
  • Passionate about building quality software products
  • Ability to communicate and translate departmental updates in business terms
