WHAT YOU’LL DO The Global Events Senior Specialist will be responsible for project managing a number of BCG’s flagship event programs, as part of Global Events & Networks team.

Theideal candidate must have experience in developing and executing events for senior stakeholders and have an understanding of the complexities of working in a matrix organization, across teams and geographies to deliver a high-quality event experience for our participants.Specifically, the role will include full end-to-end management including communications, content and speaker management, audience targeting, reporting and analytics.

The chosen candidate for this role will be detail-oriented, creative, strategic, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills and most importantly have a real passion for events.

A true team player, you must be able to get up to speed quickly and be comfortable operating independently in a virtual environment.

YOU’RE GOOD AT Project management as you’ll be allocated an event campaign and will be required to putting a plan into place, including a project budget, timeline, communication plan, and workplan that oversees all project workstreamsDesigning events that support marketing objectives ensuring that the format, audience experience and ROI are carefully consideredMeticulous organization and coordination, with a high level of self-initiative and exceptional attention to detail Cross-functional teaming with other marketing functions on the event management processes, including MarTech, branding and digital teams Relationship building and influencing key stakeholders, in partnership with functional leaders, to gain approvals on proposals and recommendations Communicating effectively (written and verbal) to all levels of the firm in an accurate and in a service-orientated wayThinking strategically with an ability to focus on the bigger picture and small details Analytical and critical thinking, able to propose solutions based on stakeholder requirementsWorking in a structured, automatous and process orientated way with a high degree of autonomy and able to self-motivate in ambiguous circumstances YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS) At least bachelor’s degree with strong academic achievements required, ideally in marketing or business administration or other related subjects5+ years experience of marketing and event management in a global professional services or agency environment is essential Knowledge of marketing technologies including Microsoft Dynamics and MarketoExperience and knowledge of project management principles, methodologies and toolsAbility to interact effectively with a variety of audiences at all levels of seniority, across functions and geographies a strong presence and experience in presenting to senior audiencesMust have a positive and friendly manner, with a strong service orientation, high degree of flexibility, and the ability to work under pressureAbility and experience working on a global team across multiple time zones YOU’LL WORK WITH A variety of teams across BCG, both inside and outside of the marketing function, including:Global Events & Networks teamLocal and Practice Area marketing teamsGlobal Marketing Leadership team Marketing Technologies teamSenior leaders (MDPs, PALs)Local Executive Assistants
