Inventory Control Supervisor :

Position Summary: Supervise and coordinate purchasing/inventory activities for the Distribution Center.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Oversee Centralized Purchasing with regards to Distribution Center inventory.
  • Advise of capacity issues or short-pick situations.
  • Work with to keep Distribution Center in stock and prevent overstock.
  • Provide constructive feedback to management on Central Planning performance.
  • Inbound delivery performance reviews.
  • Provide up-to-date backhaul schedules to Central Planning.
  • Analyze and maintain proper inventory levels to meet customer requirements.
  • Place product orders with vendors and communicate with vendors as necessary.
  • Responsible for daily cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and physical inventories.
  • Communication of promotional events to coordination with Sales,
  • Ensure promotional items are received, shipped, and accounted for, including seed store kits.
  • Work with planning on overages to determine the cause for future promotions.
  • Coordinate purchasing/receiving activities with Warehouse Manager and Supervisor(s).
  • Manage inventory adjustments process; damages, in-house, donations, etc.
  • Invoicing Distribution Centers for transfer of products from Harriman.
  • Maintain salability of items to enable proper Restaurant Order Processing ordering.
  • Track weekly on-hand quantity and assess inventory levels.
  • Review completed receivers for quality and errors.
  • Reverse ship enables.
  • Place purchase orders on a needed basis; frozen buns, Coke Freestyle, etc.
  • Manage PLD process working with Warehouse.
  • Other projects or duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • o High School Diploma or GED
  • o 5+ years of related experience
  • o Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • o Strong, interactive team player.
  • o Integrative thinker and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • o High initiative, self-motivation, and strong leadership skills.
  • o, Must be detail-oriented, conscientious, able to work independently, with strong organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • o Strong interpersonal skills and organizational skills to manage a daily work environment.
  • o Ability to develop a strong working relationship with internal and external customers.
  • o Excellent time management skills and must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time and be able to effectively handle changing conditions.
  • o Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills as well as strong analytical skills.
  • o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • o This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • o College degree preferred in a business-related discipline
  • o Proficiency with JDE
  • o Distribution experience
  • o Basic understanding of McDonald’s related products.
