HCE is bringing on experienced engineers to help us create and maintain a 24×7, no downtime, global infrastructure system that powers our Forge engine.

The Observability and Logging organization builds and operates reliable, scalable and repeatable cloud infrastructure for HCE developers to ship great products quickly and reliably.

These core systems provide introspection into the health and performance of all HCE systems and services.

Your team will drive and execute business processes around logging, monitoring and automation across multiple business units, such as Connected Aircraft, Building, Worker, Cyber, and Industrial


  • Leading Infrastructure projects that improve observability tools and platforms: metrics, dashboarding, alerting, logging, application performance management, blackbox monitoring, distributed tracing
  • Inspiring your team and others with technical vision and customer obsession
  • Recruiting and retaining talented engineers
  • Rolling up your sleeves with hands on contributions when necessary

  • Coaching, mentoring and providing career guidance
  • Responsible for leading a team of Customer Operations engineers / specialists to ensure stable logging and monitoring platforms, implementing measures to maintain high performance and uninterrupted availability of key customer web applications across the enterprise
  • Collaborate with Incident and Event Mgmt to troubleshoot and resolve ELK Platform issues within set SLAs
  • Assisting with implementation and administration of Elastic Platform on Kubernetes
  • Ensuring end-to-end monitoring data stack from the product to display layer.

    Performance tuning of ELK clusters, indices and shards.Implement Dashboard, Alert creation and maintenance using Watcher on Kibana visualization tool

  • Partnership with application teams to complete required tools installation and ELK updates, patches, version upgrades when required
  • Create and managing Elasticsearch Index schema’s and mappings
  • Develop logstash pipelines using grog debugger and regex to parse the ingested data
  • Configure FileBeats, MetricsBeats and possibly other ELK Stack components to collect and the
  • store the data necessary to meet Sponsor requirements efficiently
  • Manage team to ensure Honeywell Forge applications across GBEs are seamlessly onboarded onto Incident & Event Management process, in addition to key stakeholders dashboards used to show availability and performance of applications.


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7+ years of IT experience
  • 5+ years experience in managing a customer operations team and as a Customer Operations Manager


  • Ensure on call rosters managed for Elastic clusters
  • Maintain Cluster SLA to ensure minimal downtime of cluster that would affect stakeholders
  • Work with key vendors to troubleshoot any issues with monitoring / logging tools (Catchpoint, AppDynamics, Elastic)
  • Elasticsearch / Database knowledge, Linux Administration, Understanding of Storage and DB performance tuning
  • Understanding and experience implementing and managing End to End Observability
  • Cloud Management – Azure / AWS (Provision Virtual Machine’s, Storage accounts, Resource groups, Patch management and manage load balancers on Azure cloud platform.)
  • Config Management / Automation – Ansible / Terraform & Any scripting language
  • CICD Knowledge
  • Docker / K8
  • One of the follow Scripting language, python, go, ruby, bash, or power shell.
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Team leadership and team building skillsets coaching, communication and presentation skills to leadership and key stakeholders
