The QA Engineer will develop and execute automated tests to ensure product quality. A successful candidate will have industry-leading technical abilities that enable them to significantly improve product quality through writing test plans, developing tools, building automation, and motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely both written and orally is a key competency as is demonstrable skill as a self-starter. You will work in a fast-paced environment utilizing modern QA concepts and tools to support a variety of projects and products.

Job Requirements:

Role and responsibilities:

  • Programmatically test any software product and develop automation for it in a Continuous Integration environment (Selenium, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Write UI and other integration tests as needed (JavaScript/Python/etc. for Selenium)
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and refactor existing tests, and write new tests to cover any gaps
  • Ability to track regressions in features or performance (jMeter)
  • Design and execute test plans and test cases of complex front-end and backend systems, preventing bottlenecks before they occur
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle and quality assurance methodologies
  • Automated testing of applications using multiple versions of a browser and across multiple browsers
  • Log clear, reproducible bug reports
  • Partner with developers and engineers on a fast-paced team to drive the QA efforts, supporting several applications to identify and resolve defects
  • Build operating procedures to ensure consistency in the way we test software

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience designing and implementing QA automation
  • Strong skills in test planning, test management, and test strategy
  • A deep understanding of software development in a team, and a track record of shipping software on time
  • Self-motivated, resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
  • Ability to successfully interface with both internal and external clients
  • Reliable accountable and can work without supervision
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
  • Can communicate to technical and business stake holders.

Required Education:

  • BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline, or 2+ years QA automation experience

 

Nice to have skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional documentation, presentation and planning skills
  • Excellent time management skills and proven ability to multi-task competing priorities
  • SOC, NERC, and other compliance standards knowledge a plus
