About the opportunity

It will be your mission as Product Manager, Dayforce Public Sector to leverage your proven experience and bring the next generation of HCM capabilities to life to our public sector users.

The Dayforce Public Sector team is looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our Product Management team to drive the success of our Dayforce product in the public sector.

This role will involve designing, planning and growing the Core HR product to enable government organizations build an engaged workforce driven by a deeper understanding of people and achieve business outcomes.

The Product Manager must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; have a big picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality.

The role will serve as the owner of Dayforce Core HR
– Public Sector product line and will drive strategy, vision, and execution to ensure the product is successful throughout the entire lifecycle.

This role serves as the internal and external evangelist for the product to drive execution and meet product and organizational goals.

What you’ll get to do

  • Define and maintain the product roadmap in alignment with overall strategy
  • Develop solutions to problems and provide justification for why we should invest money and resources
  • Own decisions with respect to feature prioritization, high level requirements, and feature scope
  • Synthesize public sector market needs from interactions with customers, business stakeholders into product strategy and roadmap
  • Represent the voice of the customer, identifying business problems and product opportunities
  • Work cross-functionally with UX, engineering and data science teams to build and release new features
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and competition
  • Collaborate with product leadership and other product managers to accomplish objectives
  • Communicate value and promote new features to stakeholders and customers
  • Motivate and inspire colleagues without direct authority

Skills and experience we value

  • Bachelors in technology related field or equivalent industry experience
  • 3+ years of experience in product management or equivalent role
  • A history of successful management of cross-functional projects
  • Experience writing user stories, doing user research, decomposing technical projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent multitasking and problem-solving abilities
  • Must have understanding and knowledge of People experience in HCM space (Public Sector a bonus)
  • Exceptional self-awareness and influencing skills
  • Prior experience as a Product Management working directly with developer teams
