Cox Communications is looking for a team member to design, develop, implement, integrate and maintain Pega applications.

Continuously work towards development process improvement, code quality and create other utilities that can help improve efficiency and speed to market.

Implement resolution/prevention of technical debt to facilitate rapid development and implementation.

Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and systems health and take steps for improvement.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Designing and developing of complex case management-based business workflow applications using Pega PRPC and other Pega frameworks.
  • Leads a team of Pega Senior System Architects and software engineers working on all phases of a delivery from inception through prod operations.
  • Demonstrates an advanced knowledge of the PRPC Architecture and all PRPC design and implementation features
  • Accountable for ensuring the business and technical architecture of the delivered solution matches technical and functional requirements.
  • Application and platform monitoring tools like Pega PDC, Splunk, NewRelic.
  • Investigates opportunities to use new and emerging technologies
  • Produces detailed designs for specific application components
  • Ability to convert business requirements into full design documents including technical designs, service guides, and deployment guides with the ability to identify scalability and design appropriately.
  • Provides detailed deployment documentation to the support group to ensure preparedness to deploy new releases into the production environment within the SLA windows

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • 5+ years of experience as the Pega lead system architect experience
  • Pega Lead System Architect (CLSA) certification is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to produce sophisticated documentation
  • Strong understanding of Design Patterns and Object-Oriented Programming
  • Experience working in a large, fast-paced project environment
  • Experience with DevOps & CICD using Pega and/or 3rd party tools like Git.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard project delivery frameworks including Agile and Scrum
  • Knowledgeable in other areas of Pega like Robotics, Decisioning and CRM
  • Knowledge of Pega Cloud and/or Private cloud infra like AWS, Google cloud
  • Experience creating designs using various modeling techniques and helping define the non-functional requirements of the system

Preferred:

  • BS/BA in related discipline strongly desired (Information Technology, Computer Engineering)
  • Experience working with offshore and onshore development model
  • Proficiency in writing unit tests and using unit testing frameworks
  • Clear understanding of SQL database principals including database triggers, SQL syntax and stored procedures.
  • Current with Pega Application concepts and design patterns when it comes to reusable and modern approaches to architecting Pega applications
