Sales Support Specialist

This is a Full-time position in Atlanta, GA posted March 23, 2021.

nnSouthStar Capital is seeking a Sales Support Specialist (SSE) to drive sales growth by assuring that workflow is conducted in an effective and efficient manner in accordance with policies and procedures outlined.

This position reports to Sales and is responsible for assisting with the sale, closing, service, and retention of clients by acting as a representative for the sales team, internally among other corporate staff and externally in a client facing role.

n nEssential Job Functions n n nn As the primary representative of sales within the corporate office the sales support executive provides prompt, courteous & excellent customer service to all external and internal customers.

They support and consistently meet customer service.

The SSE is responsible for building and maintaining smooth cooperative working relationships with Underwriters, Closing Department Representatives, Account Managers, Sales Reps, Peers, and Superiors.

A successfull SSE has a comprehensive working knowledge of work processes between U/W, Field Sales & Support.

They are able to understand potential client variables and have a thorough working knowledge of how products apply to various situations.

They interact with other departments to respond appropriately to customer requests and needs.

This position is responsible for the submission of all new clients to operations by facilitating the sales to operations handoff including supporting sales in collecting the necessary paperwork to complete files and prepare for audits.

The SSE assists in providing value added sales proposal related documents and information, working closely with the Sales VP to ensure the client’s objectives are met with the solution provided, questions are clearly and well answered, and client’s receive the sales service they require.

The SSE may initiate underwriting and credit requests, servicing cases, and sales presentations in a support role to the sales VP and oposal to work with Sales Rep on possible solutions to closing a sale or determining the reasons for missed opportunities and follows up on behalf of the Sales Rep on smaller case sizes.

The SSE is responsible for the processing of all renewal notifications, porfolio performance trends and will work EVP to develop appropriate follow up processes to make sure that customers are receiving the support and service they require.

nn n nnQualifications nn n nn Due to the sensitivity of the clients being served as well as the financial impact, this position must be extremely flexible, have a strong customer-service focus, initiative and ability to work on their own.

Adding knowledge of risk and credit assessment, and procedures is essential in this position.

Because of the various responsibilities, the SSE must exhibit a high degree of organizational abilities and independent problem solving.

The SSE must possess superior interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

This position requires a great deal of “salesmanship.” The SSE must be proficient in a variety of software programs.

Some of the software used in this position is included Excel, MS Word, Microsoft Dynamics, Power Point, and Access.

Excellent telephone skills are required due to the daily contact with sales reps, potential clients, and various Home Office personnel.

Target annual income range for this position is $60,000
– $75,000.
