We have an immediate need for a talented FULLY REMOTE Permit Specialist to join our growing team. You’ll be responsible for handling permits, conducting permitting research, and coordinate with engineers, architects, and other health/building professionals for permitting requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years of experience working with permit departments in multiple states & jurisdictions along with a strong understanding of building, trade and healthcare permits for commercial construction.

Job Details

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct permitting research for multiple states
• Track and record requirements for permitting to management
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and building/health departments on specific permitting requirements
• Call Codes Departments
• Work in conjunction with field and office staff to submit applications and obtain permits
• Print drawings/plan sets and prepare permit packages
• Communicate needed trade and building permit requirements to field staff
• Report progress on permits and/or code related issues to management
• Upload plans and update tasks through online construction management portal
• Write response letters to address code related issues
• Travel up to 30% of the time

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience working with permit departments in multiple states and jurisdictions
• Strong understanding of building, trade and healthcare permits for commercial construction
• Experience with retail, restaurants, hospitality, strip malls and/or quick-serve is a plus
• Experience working at an Architecture or Engineering firm is a plus
• Design/Build experience is a plus
