Job Description This position is generally responsible for the accurate picking, counting, labeling, & racking of product in a cold freezer environment. This position requires regular and repetitive lifting of up to 50 pounds and stacking product to a pallet of up to 6 feet. Specific Accountabilities: – Move goods from production areas to freezer/cooler by using forklift or power jacks. – Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments & pick frozen goods to orders accurately. – Scan inventory into racks – Label all inventory – Keep work area clean & safe at all times – Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. – Complies with all Company and Federal Policies, Procedures and Regulations – Achieve departmental KPIs Job Description may change with or without prior notice Qualifications: – Must be able to read, write and do basic math – Must be able to work under pressure and in a cold warehouse environment – Must be Forklift certified – High school diploma or GED (preferred) – Ability to work independently and as a team to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given and standard accepted practices – Must be in compliance with Schweid & Sons policies and GMP procedures – Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with GMP, USDA, OSHA – Must maintain regular and punctual attendance as well as work overtime as needed – Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs – Must be able to stand for long periods of time As of October 1, 2021 Schweid & Sons will be mandating COVID-19 vaccinations for all employees with a hire date of 10/1/21 or after.
