Client Accounting Service specialist

Accountants One has a client in the Dunwoody, GA area that is a CPA Firm. They are looking for a Client Accounting Specialist. The Client Accounting Services Specialist is responsible for preparation and participation in project engagements as assigned, including, but not limited to, end to end accounting and preliminary preparation of GAAP and income tax basis financial statements.

Job Requirements:

Responsibilities:

• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, with proven ability to troubleshoot issues
• Assist with month-end close and required reporting, including reconciliation of detail subledger reports to the general ledger balances
• Support general accounting functions, with ability to calculate, post & manage accounting data
• Prepare and troubleshoot any issues with bank reconciliations
• Prepare general ledger reconciliations and adjusting journal entries
• Assist in the client on-boarding process, as requested by supervisor
• Prepare annual 1099 forms, Quarterly Payroll and Household Employee Payroll Tax Returns
• Prepare or review Sales Tax Returns & Business Personal Property Tax Returns
• Preliminary preparation of GAAP and income tax basis financial statements
• Preliminary preparation of income tax returns

Responsibilities:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience – accounting degree preferred
• Experience with QBO, QuickBooks Desktop & Excel
• Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet project deadlines within prescribed time budgets
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
• Demonstrated ability to embrace new systems, processes, technology & ideas
• Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with employees & supervisors
• Good judgment skills and ability to escalate an issue to the Manager of a client account
• Works well independently and as part of a team
