Audit Senior – Public Accounting

Staff Financial Group

This is a Full-time position in Atlanta, GA posted December 1, 2021.

Our client has an immediate need for a Senior Auditor at their North Atlanta office.

Position details as follows:
As a member of the professional client service team, participates in audits and related engagements under the general direction of a manager, senior manager, or partner.

Assumes responsibility for directing daily progress of field work; has more clients assigned on a continuing basis and more direct working relationships with higher level executives.

Prepares for continuing advancement in the firm, the profession, and the community.
REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.

CPA with 3+ years auditing experience in public accounting
2.

Applies the theory and principles of accounting, the objectives, standards, and procedures of auditing to client situations.

Applies understanding of client’s systems and procedures, overall business operations, and industries to our roles as professional accountants and consultants.
3.

Meets the profession’s and the firm’s standards of technical quality established in AICPA and FASB pronouncements and the firm’s technical procedures; keeps informed of current technical developments and pending matters important to our profession and clients.
4.

Plans engagements, including preparation of time budgets, audit/review programs and planning memos, analytically reviews interim client financial statements and determines audit materiality.
5.

Prepares financial statements, management letters, and other communications; reviews working papers of accountants assigned to him/her in preparation of detailed review.
6.

Reviews internal control structures; approves audit programs and time budgets and all other planning and forwards them to partner for executive review and approval.
7.

Supervises system engagements, including direction of staff personnel, organization of work plan, development of suggestions, and implementation of follow-up.
8.

Provides training, leadership, and administrative direction to motivate and develop the capabilities of accountants assigned to him/her.

Completes performance evaluations and provides timely feedback.
9.

Accepts other administrative and supervisory responsibilities, including recruiting, leading professional development conferences and administration of the audit practice as required.
10.

Strong oral and written communication skills
