About the role:
The AR Accountant – Payments is responsible for the application of all customer payment transactions including Wire, ACH, Credit Card and Check transactions as well as customer rebates.

They will request and use remittance advice to accurately apply payments to customer invoices, research any unapplied cash and resolve payment discrepancies with customers.

The team will be subject matter experts with our payment processing systems and back office including Stripe, customer payment checkouts, and AR designated bank accounts.

This role will be measured by KPI’s related to volume trends and accuracy for Customer payment application, Unapplied Cash application trending and customer payment resolution.
In this role, you will:
Daily review of payment application for customer accounts
Respond to inquiries and QC work of offshore team
Daily review, processing, and investigation of unapplied payments
Add stripe payout batches into Netsuite, and ensuring accuracy of application to invoices
Ensure Partner bulk payments are applied to customer accounts appropriately.
Process Customer rebates/credits
Complete vendor ACH requests and liaison for customer payment set up requirements (verifying bank details, etc)
Complete any manual payments in accordance with SOX procedures.
Answer customer queries on payments, application of payments, and issues with payments
Respond to Stripe payment disputes
Complete any customer payment refund
Coordinate with IF/Sales to identify and verify Customer payments for Open Opportunities in SFDC
Work closely with Samsara Treasury Team
Work on projects related to automation of cash application.
Minimum requirements for this role:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
2+ years in AR Accountant role
Customer payment application experience
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
It would be a plus if you have:
Salesforce/Netsuite Experience
SaaS industry experience
Experience with Stripe
